Based on feedback from leaseholders and tenants, Palmlane Estates have set out the following eight pledges…
CONTINUITY OF REPAIRS AND MAINTENANCE
We will continue to manage and maintain the existing buildings and your accommodation throughout the planning process. There will be no reduction in current services.
SAFEGUARDING YOUR LEASE
We will ensure that leases are renewed for a minimum period of two years for anyone interested.
PROVIDING A MINIMUM NOTICE PERIOD
We will ensure to provide at least a six-month notice to vacate to all those affected by any demolition and building works.
RELOCATION WITHIN FISH ISLAND
We will prioritise relocation of existing tenants affected by refurbishment or demolition to other available units in Fish Island within our ownership
CONSULTATION
We will consult you through regular meetings which will occur every two to three months. All your comments will be considered throughout the entire design and planning process.
RETAINING LIVE/WORK
We will aim to strengthen the existing live/work offer that has underpinned the artist and creative community in Fish Island since 2008. This is not about gentrification.
DELIVERING HIGH QUALITY ACCOMMODATION
We will aim to enhance existing accommodation by bringing them up to modern building regulations and legislation relating to accessibility / equality / health and safety.
NEW UNITS TO BE OFFERED TO EXISTING COMMUNITY
We will create a priority list for displaced leaseholders who express an interest in returning to new accommodation within the Fish Island Creative Arts Quarter.
